Pooba Mahalingam is a Regional Risk Consultant based in Singapore serving the Asia, Middle East and Africa.  He a Professional Engineer who has some three decades of practical experience in engineering, construction and risk/ insurance space. Pooba has provided Expert Evidence in a few technical/insurance and legal disputes. His firm, Talent Asia Training & Consulting (TATC) provides risk management, training, consulting & advisory services.

He is a regular trainer with the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI), the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific, Inc (IIAP) based in Manila and other organizations in Singapore and the region.

Pooba is also the Author of the book entitled “Engineering Insurance” published by the MII.

He served as the President of the Insurance Law Association of Singapore (ILAS) for three terms. 

During the on-going global pandemic and travel restriction, Pooba managed to lead the TATC team to make waves in the virtual training and risk survey space. This brought about more opportunities and assignments beyond the regular Asean/ Asia region. The firm also took up various jobs in the African continent covering Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Mauritius & Mozambique and other countries such as Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia and the UAE.

Pooba is also a Certified Trainer with HRDF (Malaysia) and ACTA certification from Singapore. He is able to communicate and present both in English and Bahasa; this makes him a well sought after Risk & Insurance Consultant/ Facilitator both regionally and in the global markets.
